From fifteen years with yoga, Anna combines the energetic rhythm of vinyasa flow with a classical hatha approach to being with stillness.

Anna first came to yoga by finding comfort in a Sivananda practice and later received her core training from Yoga to the People. She has a solid respect for making yoga inviting and approachable to everyone, so they might personalize their own practice. For this principle she is especially grateful to Sam Chase, Jorja Rivero, and Seane Corn. To enhance her teaching for all ages and bodies, she trained in Pre- and Post-natal Yoga as well as Restorative Yoga at ISHTA, and studied Silver Age Yoga for Seniors. Anna is also certified in the Ayurvedic Yoga (AYM) wisdom of Kusum Modak.

Her classes blend meditation, pranayama, asana, and philosophy with a little lighthearted humor. Expect to enhance internal muscular support, sharpen mental focus, increase breath awareness, and maintain a healthy physique. With all of these aligned, a positive and peaceful spirit naturally follows!

Raised in the countryside of North Carolina, she's currently at home in the Hudson Valley where she draws from her closeness with nature as an inspiration for balancing personal well-being. As a compliment to her yoga practice, Anna is a visual artist and designer. She also helps care for the Saugerties Lighthouse, an 1869 historic landmark of the Hudson River.

"Sitting much of the day as a designer, I looked to yoga to rejuvenate my body and soul in the wee bit of time I could spare in a day. I intensified my focus on yoga because I believe it's the most efficient movement to build graceful musculature, nurture achy joints, and open the heart…all while balancing the push and pull of city living. Eventually, I learned how to bring my practice into the rest of my day. I have a real passion for helping others breathe this peace into their own lives."
